Press Release From Managing Director

17 May 2007

The Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort is pleased to inform that two additional eco-tourism recreational activities, namely the jungle treks and natural water fall are ready for guests’ use.  There are 3 jungle treks of varying distances, difficulty levels and jungle terrains to cater to guests with different physical fitness levels, age groups and adventuring spirit.

The jungle treks are available from 400 meters to 2700 meters with an approximate trek time from 45 minutes to 2 hours.  Guests are encouraged to trek at their own comfort levels and leisurely enjoy the flora and fauna, insect species and the natural streams along the trekking journey.

The much awaited waterfall is finally open to guests after the completion of an 800 meters wooden plank walk which is constructed above the ground level and bordering Lambir Hills National Park.  Whilst walking to the calming and wondrous sights and sounds of the waterfall and the natural surroundings, guests should not miss the Lambir Hills National Park border which could be seen along the journey on the walkway.

The Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort is scheduled to be fully completed in December 2007.  The management reiterates that every effort will be made to provide utmost comfort, safety and enjoyment for their guests during their stay at the resort during the ongoing construction work.
